The women behind Leaves and Flowers, Anna Morton and Emily Erb, have a refreshing way of talking about tea. They're all about flavor, the healing properties of herbs, and the lost art of a tea ceremony. Brew a cup of their tea and your home and body will fill with deep aromas of turmeric and black pepper or lemon verbena and peppermint. Tea helps us slow down and create intention, and this is something that truly comes through in their entire business from tea itself to their daily operations; it is brimming with intention and thought.
The Leaves and Flowers herbal infusions are beautifully hand-crafted and locally sourced. Most of their herbs are coming from Live Oak Farm in Petaluma, which is bursting with various herbs, vegetables, and diverse wildlife. Anna and Emily have a rich relationship with the farm and the farmer, Michael, enabling them to have a direct connection to the herbs that go into their blends. It's invigorating to see the full cycle come into fruition. I try to take you on a little bit of that journey through my photos below.
